Street Road is also home to Morrisons supermarket, a residential care home,\u00a0the Drill Hall and Tor Leisure.\u00a0The most expensive recorded transaction in Street Road to date is Wirral House, which sold for \u00a3432,500 on 15\/04\/2015 &#8211; a whopping 94% increase in 13 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>15 &#8211; Middle Leigh (Street)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Average price paid \u00a3279,484 &#8211; Back across the Brue for the next most expensive street which is\u00a0Middle Leigh &#8211; one of the oldest streets in Street and once a farmstead and home of well-known local Quaker Arthur Clothier who in 1810 opened a tanyard on Middle Leigh. Today Middle Leigh consists 35 dwellings (of which 4 are flats) and well known Hecks cider who have been producing cider here since at least 1840.\u00a0The most expensive recorded transaction in Middle Leigh to date is 33, which sold for \u00a3400,000 on 17\/02\/2014. Going back to 2001, 22 Middle Leigh sold for just \u00a318,400.<\/p>\n<p><strong>14 &#8211; Plough Close (Street)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Average price paid \u00a3282,765 &#8211; Just up the road and up this table from Green Lane is Plough Close which is a quiet cul-de-sac of just 16 houses home to just 25 people at the last census (2011). The\u00a0most expensive house purchase in Plough Close to date is 18, which sold on 22\/05\/2015 for \u00a3365,000.<\/p>\n<p><strong>13 &#8211; The Levels (Meare)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Average price paid \u00a3287,805 &#8211; Meare was once only accessible from Glastonbury by boat but today is just a 5-minute drive from Glastonbury town.
