Deal of the Day – Street – 19th June 2015

OK it’s not Glastonbury but this property came to the market earlier in the week in nearby Street and could be worth a look…

At an asking price of £180,000 you could expect a gross yield of 5% at the very least and more is definitely achievable.

Things we like about this property:

  • Central location
  • 3 real bedrooms
  • 2 reception rooms = roomy
  • Quiet corner plot location at the end of a cul-de-sac
  • Large garden that comes complete with planning permission for a detached two storey dwelling
  • uPVC double-glazed

OK it does need a lick of paint inside but there does not seem to be anything major and the icing on the cake is that it is spacious and comes with the planning permission.

Deal of the Day – Glastonbury – 12th June 2015 Over 7% Yield Possible!

Have a look at this property that has come to the market via Cooper & Tanner…

At an asking price of £100K I think you could easily get £525-£550 PCM for this and even at the asking price will give you a gross yield of 6.3%-6.6%

OK it needs improving but positives are:

  • Hop, skip and a jump to town centre
  • Off road parking for two vehicles
  • Council Tax Band B

You would need to consider any ground rents or service charges that may apply but I think it could be worth a look.
