Deal of the Day – Street – 26th June 2015

Not much worth discussing from an investment perspective has come to the market this week, perhaps everyone is at the festival.  We featured this property a few weeks ago…

The price has been dropped £5000 this week so at an asking price of £179,950 and a rental income of around £785 per calendar month this will give you 5.3% return.

If you do consider buying this one can you remind the Street based agent that Street is not a town it is a village!

The agent also recommends a early viewing which we assume means before 0900 in the morning.

OK it’s not Glastonbury but this property came to the market earlier in the week in nearby Street and could be worth a look…

At an asking price of £180,000 you could expect a gross yield of 5% at the very least and more is definitely achievable.

Things we like about this property:

  • Central location
  • 3 real bedrooms
  • 2 reception rooms = roomy
  • Quiet corner plot location at the end of a cul-de-sac
  • Large garden that comes complete with planning permission for a detached two storey dwelling
  • uPVC double-glazed

OK it does need a lick of paint inside but there does not seem to be anything major and the icing on the cake is that it is spacious and comes with the planning permission.
